DISTRICT DEPUTY GRAND MASTERS
A District Deputy Grand Master (DDGM) is appointment by the Grand Master each year to be his personal representative in each of the 57 Districts. A DDGM is nominated by the Lodges in each of the Districts for recommendation to the office of District Deputy Grand Master for their respective District.
Every District Deputy Grand Master must be a Master or Past Master of a Lodge, and should be well skilled in the laws of the Grand Lodge of Virginia and in the work of all degrees.
The DDGM makes an annual visit to each of the Lodges in his respective District to examine the records of the Lodge, and makes a report to the Grand Master.
A DDGM serves as a liaison between the Lodges in his District, and the Grand Master.
