INSIGHTS AND TRENDS
MASONIC FORUM CONDUCTED TO DISCUSS
FREEMASONRY FOR THE TWENTY-FIRST CENTURY
On January 10, 2009, a Masonic forum was held at the Richmond Scottish Rite Building, 4204 Hermitage Road, Richmond, Virginia. There were over 222 attendees present, with representatives from each Masonic organization. The ultimate goal was to give seeds of thought to the leaders from every body of Freemasonry, setting a tone for future management of the concerns each body might have, seasoned by an awareness of what the next generation of prospective members will expect.
A team of qualified, highly involved individuals was assembled to field responses to questions, conduct discussions, and make presentations to provide insight into current trends toward better management, as well as addressing the topics of membership, marketing and public relations. The presentations made are shown below. It is hoped that with the input from all participants, positive results will be seen and felt within all of the organizations within the Masonic Fraternity.
