District Educational Officers are nominated by the District Deputy Grand Master and the Division Provost, and recommended by the Committee Chairman and appointed by the Grand Master. His duties include, but are not limited to, acting as a liaison and communication link between the Division Provosts and the Lodge Educational Officer, and making suitable Masonic education-oriented presentations, when invited by local Masters’ and Wardens’ Associations or the Worshipful Masters of subordinate Lodges. His primary duty is the training of the subordinate Lodge officers in all areas of Masonic education, except for ritual.
